Snoopy - He's Just Part of the Family

Just incase anyone hasn't met our family dog yet, here he is. Let me introduce you to him, his name is Snoopy and he is 3 years old.

Some people think he's ugly, some people think he's cute, but no one can resist this lovable little creature. He is so sweet and smart. I don't want to make you jealous, but he does not have accidents in the house, he doesn't jump on people nor the furniture, he doesn't tear up things (well, for the most part anyway), he doesn't chase chickens nor cats (in fact he has quite a few cat friends), and he is very obedient. Most of all he has a great personality!
Here a picture of him resting on the living room floors. Usually he prefers rugs, but it must have been hot outside.
He looks like royalty and a bit snobby in this picture.
Excuse me, what did you say? Did you say that I was cute? I have to agree with you on that.
The guilty dog look. It's very obvious when Snoopy's been bad. He has such a guilty conscience.

Well bye for now! It's been ter-ruf-ruf-ic meeting all you. Ruff Ruff! Smack Smack!

Too Sick to Play and A Walk in the Woods

This past Friday all three of my children came down with a stomach virus at the same time. Yucky! What a mess! My littlest was so pitiful. On Saturday morning he felt better but still a little sick and very weak. However, he still wanted to play outside. The weather was beautiful so I let him go in the yard to play while I started weeding out the garden. After a while I checked on him, and this is where I found him. Asleep laying on his bouncy ball. I had to get a picture to share.

Later, he sat on his daddy's lap while he worked moving a tree that had fell in the yard.
While they were working, I took a walk in the woods with Snoopy.
Snoopy exploring.
These woods are so much fun.
The children play, ride their four wheelers, have hay rides, and camp in these woods.
This is a favorite camping spot in the woods. Every year when the weather is cooler, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins gather together to cook over a camp fire and camp in tents. This is a big treat for the children! While their camping, I'm usually at home curled up on my sofa in front of the fireplace reading a good book. If I'm feeling adventurous this year, maybe I'll join them.

Snoopy and Charlie Brown - Best Friends Forever!

Snoopy loves Charlie Brown!

Charlie Brown (the cat) is Snoopy's (the dog) best friend. We got both Snoopy and Charlie Brown on the same day and not on purpose. Here is the story - My friend brought over Snoopy (as a cute little puppy) to a harvest party that we were having at my parent's house in October of 2007. She was trying to find him a good home, and I could not resist his sweet adorable personality. So, I convinced my husband to let me keep him. He didn't want me to at first, however, he relented in the end. My daughter earlier that same day, without my knowledge, accepted a cute little orange kitten from a family giving kittens away in a neighborhood. She hid Charlie Brown in her room and was trying to think of how to let us know she brought home a kitten. I discovered him when I needed to get something out of her room. The discovery was made late that evening after we decided to keep Snoopy. After much debating we made the decision to keep both Charlie Brown and Snoopy, and believe it or not when I took them to the veterinary for their first visit, the doctor told us they were both seven weeks old.

Snoopy and Charlie Brown fell in love and have been best pals ever since. They love to wrestle together and snuggle together. It's amazing to watch. We are so glad that we made the decision to keep them both!

In addition to Snoopy and Charlie Brown, we also have another cat named Lizzie (she likes no one except for herself). All of my pets have really interesting stories to tell - one day I will tell you their stories - like the time Snoopy was stolen from us and how we got him back, how Charlie Brown was smashed in the top of the garage door and his recovery, and how Lizzie survived hurricane Katrina.
